New KardexRemstar Kompakt Mobile Storage System Improves Facility Space Utilization

The new high density KardexRemstar Kompakt® Mobile Storage System allows organizations to reduce their floor space requirements in half or double the existing floor storage capacity. Kompakt Mobile Storage Systems are available in electric, mechanical assist or manual models designed to provide maximum ease of use in storing files, books, media, and items.

The Kompakt Mobile Storage System consists of new or existing shelving, rack or cabinets mounted to carriages. With a push of a button or turn of a handle, the carriages open to create an aisle in as little as six seconds. The system only requires one aisle to be open at a time saving up to 65% of the floor space or more than double the storage capacity.

The system allows an operator to move up to 10,000 pounds of stored material while exerting only one pound of force, taking less effort than opening a standard file cabinet.

SafeSpace(TM) family of protection systems such as aisle locks, touch bars, mechanical floor level safety, safety beams and other passive and active safety systems are designed to help protect personnel, stored media and items.

The Kompakt Mobile Storage System accepts virtually any type of new or existing shelving and is available in a variety of configurations for efficient storage of almost any size or weight material.
